Orlando City to Host eMLS Amateur Cup Presented by Pizza Hut

ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 21, 2022) - Orlando City will take part in Major League Soccer’s (MLS) inaugural eMLS Amateur Cup it was announced today, set to crown a local, amateur FIFA champion for the Central Florida area. The Lions will host their Club tournament virtually on Friday, Oct. 14, presented by Pizza Hut, with players able to sign up here.

Players age 13 and older within the Central Florida region are eligible to compete to represent the Lions in the league competition later in the month, with Amateur defined by the following parameters:

  • Not have made it to an EA Broadcast within the past 24 months
  • Not have participated in EA Global Series Qualifiers within the past 24 months
  • Not be signed to an eMLS Club or any formally FIFA recognized club/organization
  • Not ranked within the FIFA Global Series Rankings

Participants will take part in a single-elimination tournament in 1v1 single-leg fixtures. The Orlando City club champion will win “Free Pizza for a Year” courtesy of Pizza Hut, in addition to a custom Orlando City jersey and a pair of tickets to a 2023 Orlando City regular season home game, while moving on to take part in a competition of the same format to be the eMLS Amateur Cup Champion.

The eMLS Amateur Cup champion will be rewarded with a trip to MLS Cup, set for Saturday, Nov. 5.
