Orlando City Signs Jake Fenlason As Extreme Hardship Goalkeeper

ORLANDO, Fla. (October 22, 2017) - Orlando City SC signs Jake Fenlason as an Extreme Hardship Goalkeeper pending federation approval. Fenlason will be available for selection when Orlando City faces the Philadelphia Union on Sunday for the season finale. 


Goalkeeper Joe Bendik is currently undergoing the MLS concussion protocol with Orlando Health Sports Medicine team doctors and will not be available for this match.


Fenlason, 24, had eight appearances with Orlando City B this season.


Per MLS roster rules, clubs may add players to their roster in cases of "Extreme Hardship." Extreme Hardship exists when an MLS club has:


Fewer than four available outfield substitutes (less than 14 outfield players available)
OR has fewer than two goalkeepers available
