Here are five storylines to watch for Saturday's matchup at Charlotte FC:

Grizi's Record Chase

Antoine Griezmann continued his historic start to life in MLS in Orlando City's last outing, assisting on Iván Angulo's opener before adding a goal of his own. The French star has now recorded a goal contribution in 12 consecutive MLS matches, tying the club record set by Martín Ojeda in 2025. Since joining the Lions in July, Griezmann has amassed 23 goal contributions, scoring 15 goals and adding eight assists in just 20 appearances across all competitions. A goal contribution on Saturday would see the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner establish a new club record outright.

Luís Otávio Finding His Footing

Luís Otávio delivered the most productive performance of his Orlando City career in the Lions' last match, recording the first two assists of his tenure with the club. The U-22 Initiative midfielder provided the secondary helper on both Orlando goals and became the latest Lion to contribute during the club's record-setting attacking run. After registering his first assists in Purple, the Brazilian will look to build on that momentum as Orlando pushes toward the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs.

The Streak Lives On

Orlando City enters Saturday's match riding a club-record scoring streak that now stands at 25 consecutive matches across all competitions. The Lions have found the back of the net in every match since late May, receiving contributions from throughout the roster along the way. During the stretch, Orlando has scored multiple goals in 17 matches and has continued to produce one of the league's most dangerous attacks led by Martín Ojeda and Antoine Griezmann.

Familiar Foe

Orlando City and Charlotte FC meet for the second time this season on Saturday, with the Lions looking to build on a 4-1 victory over The Crown at Inter.co Stadium earlier this year. Orlando turned in one of its most complete attacking performances of the season in that match, finding the back of the net four times while extending its unbeaten run against Charlotte at home. The Lions will now look to replicate that success on the road in the season series finale.

Seven Straight?

Orlando City enters Saturday's match with an opportunity to clinch a berth in the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs and extend its postseason streak to a league-active record seven consecutive seasons. The Lions can secure their place in the playoffs outright with a victory at Charlotte FC, while several other combinations of results across the Eastern Conference could also punch Orlando's ticket. Since first qualifying for the postseason in 2020, the Lions have become one of MLS' most consistent clubs and sit one result away from extending that run once again.
