Englewood Neighboring Center scored $1,500 in soccer equipment through the ā€˜Every Save Makes A Difference Program,ā€™ during last Fridayā€™s home match against D.C. United at the Orlando Citrus Bowl.

Today, Orlando City Foundation President and Director of Community Relations Kay Rawlins and City of Orlandoā€™s District 2 Commissioner Tony Ortiz delivered the equipment to Englewood Neighborhood Center, which provides after-school sports and fitness programs to a predominantly Hispanic community of more than 25,000 residents. The equipment was supplied and delivered by United World Soccer, a longtime partner of the team.

Through ā€˜Every Save Makes A Difference Program,ā€™ MLS WORKS, Allstate and Univision Deportes award organizations in Hispanic-facing communities with soccer equipment during every UniMĆ”s or Univision Deportes Network broadcast of a Major League Soccer (MLS) match. Dollar amount is determined by teamā€™s number of saves.

ā€œThis is a great program that certainly ties to our organizationā€™s goal to better the lives of children in the community through health and fitness education,ā€ said Rawlins. ā€œWe are grateful for the opportunity to give a little extra to Englewood Neighboring Center and thank MLS WORKS, Univision and Allstate for their support.ā€
