Orlando City B Announces Roster Statuses Following 2020 Season

ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 29, 2020) - Orlando City B has announced roster updates for the complete, 26-man roster, which recently completed its 2020 season. OCB, which shares the Orlando City SC Training Ground with the Club’s Major League Soccer (MLS) side, is currently working closely with MLS in regards to a competition for players for the 2021 season.

Following the conclusion of Orlando City B’s 2020 USL League One campaign, the Club has released 12 players, which includes: Austin Amer, Austin Aviza, Franklin Carabali, Fablo Dos Santos, Owen Guske, Juan Pablo Monticelli, Teddy Ndje, Nicholas O'Callaghan, Adam Ozeri, Ignacio Poplawski, Mateo Rodas and Jonathan Rosales.

All other players will remain within the Orlando City SC development structure, with statuses for the 2021 season to be announced at a later date. Midfielder Raul Aguilera has begun training with the First Team, with additional players expected to join the team’s training in the near future.

“The goal of OCB has always been to find young talent that can help us grow the success and sustainability of our First Team, and we are extremely pleased to be able to keep a strong core of our players for next year’s competition. We see these young players who will fit into the system and style we are looking to play here in Orlando. Keeping them as part of our structure, as well as this year’s signing of Homegrown Michael Halliday, we are really happy to have identified, in 2020 alone, a number of up-and-coming players through our OCB and Academy system that we see as future contributors to our Club,” Orlando City SC EVP of Soccer Operations Luiz Muzzi said.

“As for the remainder of our roster, we believed it was important to give them the best and earliest chance to find new opportunities to play and continue their individual growth. We wish them the best of luck moving forward and thank them for all of their hard work and dedication this year."
