PREVIEW: Orlando City B Hosts Toronto FC II at Home

ORLANDO, Fla. (April 3, 2019) - Orlando City B will face Toronto FC II (0-0-0, 0 points) on Friday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Montverde Academy.

Following Orlando City B’s season opener last weekend, with nine professional debuts, the team hopes to end Friday’s game with a roster who have all made a professional debut. Tanner Hummel, Steven Hernandez, Austin Amer, Jordan Bender, Christian Herrera and Moises Tablante are included in the list of players who could see their professional USL debut on Friday.

Facing a Canadian team will bring a few friendly faces to OCB defender Brandon John, who represents the U-20 Canadian National Team. Toronto FC II has 11 Canadians, 10 of which are Homegrown players. Three of the 11 have represented the U-17 and U-20 Canadian National Team at some point during their career.

Coming off a loss in their home opener, the Lions hope to secure three points at home. With many young players, the team looks to showcase their talent. Despite falling 3-1 to FC Tucson in their first-ever League One match, Koby Osei-Wusu netted the Lions first goal of the USL League One era, scoring in the 56th minute.

Saturday’s match will be the first of three contests between OCB and Toronto FC II since OCB’s return to the USL. The Lions will host Toronto FC II at home on Friday, May 17 then travel north to Ontario Soccer Centre on Friday, September 3.
