New Signings In Action For Orlando City
Yoshi Yotún, Dom Dwyer and Dillon Powers all appeared for Orlando City on Saturday night against Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Yotún and Dwyer started the match while Powers came off the bench twelve minutes into the second half.
City’s offense was spearheaded by the energetic Dwyer, who was unable to score in the match but found himself in promising attacking positions throughout.
Yotún moved all around the pitch with his versatility on full display. The Peruvian was lively all match long, playing 65 passes during the 90 minutes from midfield and left fullback positions. A 57th minute substitution saw Yotún move to the back line and Dillon Powers took up a central midfield position.
Orlando City quickly gained momentum after that and scored a fine goal to show for it. Yotún collected a Cristian Higuita through pass and whipped in a cross which Cyle Larin swiftly headed into the bottom corner.

Pride, OCB Extend Win Streaks
Alex Morgan and Chioma Ubogagu scored for the Pride in an important 2-1 road victory over FC Kansas City. Orlando has now won four NWSL matches in a row, a new team record. Three points also means the Pride inch closer to a top-four finish. Orlando (9-6-5, 32 points) was undefeated during the month of August -- surging up the NWSL standings.
The Pride are back at Orlando City Stadium to host Boston next Saturday.

OCB won 3-0 in a difficult fixture on the road against Louisville City FC. Going into the match, Louisville City was atop the Eastern Conference and coming off an impressive 5-0 victory over Harrisburg. Orlando City B was in excellent form as well, entering the match on a 10-game unbeaten streak.
A Michael Cox brace and Timbó’s second goal of the season gave OCB the shutout win -- continuing the team’s stellar defensive form.
