Orlando City Acquires Dillon Powers 

Box-to-box midfielder Dillon Powers was acquired by Orlando City via trade on the final day of the MLS summer transfer window. Powers was the third pickup for the Lions this summer -- joining Dom Dwyer and Yoshimar YotĂºn as the newest members of Orlando City SC.

Weekend Triple Header 

Saturday night second of four straight triple header Saturdays in August. Here’s how each Orlando club fared:


The Orlando Pride celebrated a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Sky Blue FC. Alex Morgan was first off the mark with an early goal that allowed the Pride to settle in at home. Morgan and Marta each recorded a brace, while Dani Weatherholt scored her first ever goal for the Club.

Yoshimar YotĂºn made his Orlando City debut in Saturday night’s match against the New York Red Bulls. The Lions fell 3-1, but there were positives to take away from the performance: YotĂºn looked sharp and lively in midfield, Carlos Rivas was back on the score sheet, and Orlando City had one of their best first half performances of the season.

Orlando City B were victorious over the Richmond Kickers -- extending the team’s current streak of eight matches without a loss. Hadji Barry scored the game’s only goal the 24th minute as OCB were able to manage the game for an important three points on the road. Barry’s goal was assisted by Pierre Da Silva -- who is third in the USL with seven assists on the season.
