Lions Ready for Another Short Turnaround

Orlando City has another quick turnaround this week following team’s 2-2 draw against Sporting Kansas City on Saturday.

“The truth is we wanted to get the win at home,” said defender José Aja. “I think we had a good first half, on our way to the result and we couldn’t finish some plays in the second half and then they tied us. The important part is that we didn’t lose, we keep picking up points at home. We just have to keep going forward to the next game.”

Orlando City will travel to San Jose to face the Earthquakes Wednesday night at 10:30 p.m. The Lions  face  another stretch of  three games in eight days. They struggled with the back half of that schedule last week, but Head Coach Jason Kreis said the team will make the necessary changes.

“I think we have to look at what we can do differently, whether that’s rotating more players, whether that’s staying with the same lineup in all three games, I think we have to think of those things,” Kreis said. “As far as the tactical preparation there’s not much more that we can do.”

Lions’ forward Cyle Larin is confident that his team will get points against San Jose.

“I think we have to go out there and really work hard just to get points, Larin said. “I think we have to improve on the road, we have one road win, but I think against San Jose we will get some points and get better from there.“
