Kreis Visits New Partner Club Atlético Paranaense

Athletico

Orlando City recently announced a partnership with Brazilian squad Clube Atlético Paranaense from Curitiba, Paraná. The club is the third Partner Club of Orlando City; the other two being Stoke City of the English Premier League and SL Benfica of Portugal. On Tuesday, Jason Kreis is visited Atlético Paranaense to see their training and academy facilities.

The goal is to share thoughts and ideas to improve both squads. As a result of their partnership, Orlando City hosted Stoke City for a friendly earlier this year. Rafael Ramos was originally brought over from SL Benfica, Orlando City’s oldest partner. The partnerships have clear benefits that will help all the clubs for years to come.

What does it mean to be a Partner Club?  Well, it means that staff can share scouting reports and players can more easily move between the clubs. Players are able to share training facilities when they travel, and the organizations can facilitate friendlies. The goal of Orlando City and their partners is to create a global network with teams all around the world.

“We are proud of partnering with Atlético Paranaense, a club with more than 90 years of history,” Orlando City Founder and President Phil Rawlins said. “In addition to their success on the pitch, they possess a vast knowledge on the process of developing a successful academy and running a top-notch training facility.”
