Orlando City Loans Bryan Róchez to Real C.D. España

Rochez Loan

ORLANDO, Fla. (July 22, 2016) – Orlando City today announced the six-month loan of striker Bryan Róchez to his former club Honduran side Real C.D. España.

“We believe that this will be a good opportunity for Bryan [Róchez] to receive valuable minutes and continue his development. He had plenty of success with Real C.D. España prior to joining us and we hope he can pick up where he left off,” Assistant General Manager Niki Budalic said.

Róchez, 21, has spent the 2016 season on loan with Orlando City B, the Club’s United Soccer League (USL) affiliate. The Honduran has two goals and an assist in 10 appearances.

Róchez was one of the Club’s first three Designated Player signings ahead of its inaugural 2015 MLS season. The attacker made 16 appearances for the Lions in 2015 and scored all three of his goals in consecutive games, including City’s late game-winner in Chicago on Sept. 19. Róchez will continue to hold a Designated Player slot while on loan.

The Tegucigalpa native joined Orlando City after scoring 29 goals in 59 appearances for Real España in the Honduran First Division from 2012-2014. He has also made six appearances for the Honduran national team and has scored 11 goals in 13 appearances for the Honduran U17 and U20 sides.
