Orlando City SC Loans Richie Laryea to OCB Ahead of Charleston Clash

ORLANDO, Fla. (March 31, 2016) – Orlando City SC has loaned midfielder Richie Laryea to Orlando City B ahead of the team’s United Soccer League (USL) match against the Charleston Battery on Friday evening at the Titan Soccer Complex, the Club announced today.

Richie Laryea started OCB’s inaugural USL game last Saturday, logging 69 valuable minutes in the Club’s opening game against the Wilmington Hammerheads. Laryea joined Orlando City after being selected with the seventh overall pick in this year’s MLS SuperDraft. The 21-year-old midfielder played his college years at the University of Akron and was crucial to their 18-3-3 regular season record as they advanced to the semi-finals of the NCAA tournament.

Orlando City B plays its second match of the 2016 USL season when they host the Charleston Battery on Friday, April 1, at Eastern Florida State College’s Titan Soccer Complex. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

UPDATE: April 17, 2020 - Based on the most recent government guidance, Major League Soccer has extended the postponement of its matches until at least June 8. Major League Soccer remains focused on playing the entire 2020 season, and is evaluating all options, including pushing back the end of the season and playing MLS Cup in December or later.
