The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) today announced the home openers for all clubs for the 2016 regular season schedule. The Pride will play their inaugural NWSL home opener at the Citrus Bowl against the Houston Dash on Saturday April 23rd.
Led by former Australian and U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Tom Sermanni and a squad headlined by Alex Morgan, Ashlyn Harris and Kaylyn Kyle, The Pride will look to expand upon the success and rapid growth of professional soccer in Orlando and Central Florida.
“With the successful launch of the MLS team, as well as the 2016 launch of the NWSL and USL teams, this region continues to reap the economic benefit of world class professional soccer,” said Phil Rawlins. “This is a thrilling time for our organization, our partners, and for fans in the ‘Soccer Capital of the South.”
