Michael Cox’s Hat Trick leads OCB over UCF 4-0

UCF Friendly

In their first preseason matchup of the season, Orlando City B took on the University of Central Florida in a Sunday afternoon friendly.

23-year-old Michael Cox had a dominant first half performance. He recorded a hat trick just 35 minutes into play. The forward scored on a free kick in the 10th minute, on a rebound in minute 25, and then followed it up with a penalty kick in the 35th.

“I was delighted for Michael Cox who got his hat trick,” said Head Coach Anthony Pulis. “We believe he is going to be a good player for us this year and a threat.”

Forward William Eyang would tally OCB’s fourth of the match in the 82nd minute.

Overall, it was a day that Pulis thinks the team will be able to build upon.

“There is plenty to work on. Lot’s of positives though,” said Pulis. “We were really pleased with the first half performance. Some really good individual performances. We are pleased with where we are at this stage.”
