CHESTER, Pa. (June 30, 2025) – Orlando City B (6-7-2, 21 points) faced off against Philadelphia Union II (6-1-6, 28 points) on Monday afternoon at Subaru Park. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, followed by an end-of-regulation shootout – the second of the season for OCB. The Lions ultimately secured one point from the contest and now sit seventh in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Lions struck early, opening the scoring in the 12th minute off a well-executed corner kick. Midfielder Gustavo Caraballo delivered a perfectly placed ball into the box, where defender Jackson Platts rose above his marker to head it home. The goal marked Platts’ first of the season and second of his OCB career, while the assist was Caraballo’s first for the club.
Philadelphia Union II equalized 10 minutes into the second half. After a deflection off an OCB defender, the ball landed at the feet of Isaiah LeFlore. The Union II defender controlled it with his chest and fired a powerful strike from outside the box into the top left corner.
OCB goalkeeper Carlos Mercado was instrumental in preserving the draw, recording a career-high 12 saves to keep the match level and force the shootout.
