ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 8, 2026) – Orlando City B has signed Orlando City Academy defender Landon Okonski to a long-term MLS NEXT Pro contract with MLS options, the Club announced today. The signing marks the next step in Okonski's development after progressing through the Club's academy system.
“Landon has made strong strides in his development and earned this opportunity through the progress he’s shown on and off the field,” said Ricardo Moreira, Orlando City SC General Manager and Sporting Director. “He has embraced every challenge throughout his journey in our academy and has continued to grow through his opportunities with OCB. This signing reflects our belief in his potential, and we’re excited to see him continue his progression as a professional.”
Okonski made his professional debut on March 8, 2026, against Chicago Fire FC II and went on to make 20 appearances, including 16 starts, for Orlando City B during the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro campaign. The 18-year-old netted his first professional goal on Aug. 1 against CT United FC.
The signing of Okonski further reflects Orlando City's player development model, which provides academy players with opportunities to progress through the Club's pathway from the youth ranks to MLS NEXT Pro and beyond.
