Eric Avila Goal of the Week

Eric Avila Headed Finish Against LA Up For Goal of the Week Honors

It was a beautiful goal all around. A crafty through-ball from Kaká, to a pin-point cross by Rafael Ramos that found Brek Shea on the far post, who, without much of an angle on net, headed it across the box to Eric Avila who finished with a snap of his head. Just like that, the rout was on.

Avila's finish is up for MLS Goal of the Week for Week 11. You can VOTE HERE.

There is certainly some good competition this week, but when you look at the teamwork involved in the goal, Avila's header certainly has a chance to take home the honors this week. Voting closes at 11:59PM PT on Thursday night and the winner will be announced on Friday.
