Steady Offensive Output

Orlando City has surged offensively in recent weeks, scoring 18 goals across its last six matches in all competitions, including netting four goals on four different occasions. The stretch leaves the Lions one goal shy of the club record for goals in a six-game span, set at 19 from June 22 to July 17, 2024. Orlando City will aim to carry that momentum into its next match as the attack continues to find its rhythm in the final third.

Ojeda Nearing History

Martín Ojeda continued his strong run of form in Wednesday’s match against the Philadelphia Union, scoring his eighth and ninth goals of the 2026 season to bring his Orlando City all-time total to 42 across all competitions. The Argentine now sits two goals shy of Cyle Larin for second place on the club’s all-time scoring list and is closing in on Facundo Torres’ club record of 47. Ojeda’s nine goals in league play this season are tied for third-most in MLS.

McGuire Climbs the Ranks

Duncan McGuire scored his 32nd goal across all competitions for Orlando City in Wednesday’s match against the Philadelphia Union, moving past former club captain Nani into fourth place on the Club’s all-time scoring list. The forward struck in the 72nd minute, finishing a 3-on-1 sequence with a composed effort off the assist from Tyrese Spicer. The goal was McGuire’s second of the 2026 season. Since being selected No. 6 overall in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft and making his debut on March 11, 2023, against D.C. United, McGuire has quickly established himself as one of the club’s most productive attacking players and solidified his place among Orlando City’s all-time leaders.

Familiar Foe

Orlando City is set to face Eastern Conference rivals Atlanta United FC for the first of two meetings in a four-day span, with the teams also scheduled to clash in the 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals on Tuesday evening. The Lions hold a 6W-12L-7D record against the Five Stripes across all competitions, including a 4W-7L-3D mark at home. The sides split last season’s series, with Orlando City posting a 3-0 home win before falling 3-2 in Atlanta, setting the stage for another competitive chapter in the rivalry.

Dorsey Delivers

Defender Griffin Dorsey scored his second goal of the 2026 campaign and his first MLS goal as a Lion in Wednesday evening’s match against the Philadelphia Union. Dorsey capitalized on a loose ball in the box in the 27th minute, finishing calmly to give Orlando City a 2-0 lead on the way to a 4-3 victory. His first goal for the Club came on April 29 against the New England Revolution in the Round of 16 of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Dorsey’s strike against the Union marked his third goal contribution since joining Orlando City via trade in the offseason.
