What to look forward to in Orlando City's second half of the 2026 season

The World Cup break is over, and Orlando City SC is back to action for the second half of the 2026 MLS season. The Lions return to Inter&Co Stadium with a new global superstar in purple, a marquee showdown circled for August, a stacked slate of theme nights, a completely refreshed concessions lineup and two shots at silverware still on the table. Here's everything you need to know as the Club heads into the stretch run.

Following the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup 2026â„¢, Orlando City will honor its returning players in their first home match back.

Griezmann's Homecoming

Antoine Griezmann is officially a Lion! The 2018 World Cup champion and Atlético Madrid legend already gave Orlando a taste of what's coming, scoring a goal and adding an assist in a Season Ticket Member exclusive friendly against the Tampa Bay Rowdies on July 8. As the real games begin, Griezmann is eligible for his official Orlando City debut when the Lions kick off on the road at San Jose on July 22, before potentially making his first home appearance just three days later on Saturday, July 25, when Orlando hosts Nashville SC in the Lions' official "Welcome Back" match at Inter&Co Stadium.

Griezmann vs. Lewandowski

Former Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Polish National Team legend Robert Lewandowski has made the move to MLS with Chicago Fire FC, setting up a marquee matchup between two greats of the game on Wednesday, Aug. 19.

The match also doubles as 407 Night, with tickets starting at just $15. A limited number of $4.07 concession items, including Heineken/domestic beer, seltzer, water, hot dogs, popcorn and pretzels will also be available.

Upcoming Theme Nights

The Lions have a full lineup of theme nights and promotions rolling out as the Club returns to action:

  • College Night – Ticket + college-colored hat package, perfect for repping your alma mater at Inter&Co Stadium. Details here
  • Community Heroes Night – Ticket + police/fire/healthcare scarf, honoring the first responders and healthcare workers who serve Central Florida. Details here

A Whole New Menu at Inter&Co Stadium

The return to play also brings the biggest concessions refresh of the season, headlined by a new Orlando Made partners and a wave of new items across the stadium's local vendors.

Two Chances for Trophies

The Lions are into the U.S. Open Cup Semifinals, just one win away from hosting the Final match in October. After a dominant 4-1 win over Atlanta United in the quarterfinals, Orlando will travel to face the Columbus Crew on Wednesday, September 16, now with added attacking reinforcements of Antoine Griezmann and Daryl Dike.

Prior to that, Orlando will once again take part in the 2026 Leagues Cup, bringing three LIGA MX opponents to Inter&Co Stadium for three straight home matches: C.F. Monterrey (Aug. 5), Club León (Aug. 8) and Atlético de San Luis (Aug. 12).
