The Story:

  • For the second time in three years, Orlando City and CF Montréal will face off against one another in their MLS opening matches.
  • CF Montréal will debut their new head coach, Laurent Courtois, who previously coached Columbus Crew 2.
  • This will be the second match the Lions play in four days, a stretch that will see the Club play four matches over 11 days to start their season.

Quote of the Week:

We’re feeling good. The boys have approached the match in a very professional manner this time when we have been busy, but we were missing the competition, so it’s good. After the result in Canada, we came up with big expectations of ourselves. The opener, being in front of our fans and having a good start. So, we’ll get optimistic and it's going to be a long journey like always, but we’re ready to do it.”

- Head Coach Oscar Pareja
