Milestones, storylines and more ahead of the Lions' home match in Chicago in "The Road Ahead" driven by Audi:
Milestones
- MartÃn Ojeda’s next assist, his 48th in all competitions for Orlando City, will see him past Mauricio Pereyra for sole possession of the all-time club record. Ojeda is three goal contributions away from being the first Orlando City player to reach 100 in all competitions for the club.
- Ojeda’s next goal will see him tie Cyle Larin’s 2015 season for the most in a single MLS regular season in Orlando City history with 17. Ojeda is two goals away from tying Larin for the most regular season goals in club history at 43.
- Antoine Griezmann can tie Ojeda’s club record of 12 straight MLS regular season matches with a goal contribution if he scores or assists a goal against Chicago.
- Iván Angulo, at 45 assists, is two helpers away from Pereyra and Ojeda for the club record. Angulo’s next goal for the club would be his 20th in all competitions.
Stats & Storylines
-Â Orlando City let one slip away on Saturday night, conceding in the 99th minute to take just one point from a wild 2-2 affair with expansion rivals New York City FC despite more goals from Antoine Griezmann and MartÃn Ojeda. The draw snapped a five-game home winning streak for the Lions.
- Griezmann continued his ridiculous pace since arriving this summer, adding a goal or assist for the 11th straight game and reaching 20 goal contributions in just 15 MLS regular season matches, the second-fastest any MLS player has ever reached that mark (Lionel Messi, MIA, 14). Griezmann has 12g/6a over the 11 games, scoring three braces and posting six matches with multiple goal contributions.
- Ojeda made more history on Saturday night, tying Mauricio Pereyra’s all-time club record with his 47th assist in purple on Griezmann’s goal and following it up by becoming the first Orlando player ever to 50 goals in all competitions. Ojeda has a goal contribution in seven straight matches and has 6g/3a in that span.Â
- While the Lions remained down two defensive starters in Robin Jansson and Griffin Dorsey, they did welcome midfield stalwart Braian Ojeda back to the starting lineup for the first time since August 1, while Vinicius Nogueira and Justin Ellis also returned to the XI from short injury layoffs.
- Orlando City have scored in 24 straight games in all competitions dating back to May 13, a club record. The Lions have scored multiple goals in seven straight, putting 22 shots in the back of the net in that span.

Meet the opponent: Chicago Fire FC
-Â Following a four-year unbeaten streak from 2021 to 2025, Orlando City has dropped three straight to a rejuvenated Chicago, most recently falling 2-1 at Inter.co Stadium on August 19. That game, which saw Robert Lewandowski net a penalty kick winner, is the only MLS regular-season home loss Orlando City has taken with Antoine Griezmann on the roster.
- Chicago picked up a big three points in Atlanta on Saturday night, winning 3-2 to go back in front of Charlotte FC for fourth place in the Eastern Conference. After a late summer stumble in which it went winless over six games, the Fire has won four of its last six matches dating back to September 26.
- Lewandowski has not been on the scoresheet in that span of matches; in fact, the Polish icon has gone scoreless in seven straight games, his longest run without a goal since the 2010/11 season when he was an up-and-coming prospect at Borussia Dortmund. Lewandowski has 6g/4a in 16 matches since arriving this summer on a free transfer from Barcelona.
- Maren Haile-Selassie (11g/10a) and Philip Zinckernagel (7g/10a) have helped pick up the slack for Lewandowski, while the Fire defense has been terrific, particularly with South African star Mbekezeli Mbokazi anchoring it. Mbokazi ranked fourth on the 2026 22 Under 22 rankings released by MLS this past week.
