Against the Rapids
Orlando City will look to improve upon its impressive record against the Rapids, currently holding a 4-1-1 record, with 11 goals for and six goals conceded against the Colorado side. The Lions and Rapids are even in the season series at altitude (1-1-1), with their last match between the two on March 7, 2020 serving as City’s final match before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Record Setter
City defender Robin Jansson set a new Club record over the weekend, starting in his 92nd Major League Soccer match for the Lions. The Swedish defender passed former Lions goalkeeper Joe Bendik (91) to take hold of the record outright.

At the Century Mark
The Lions added another player to their 100 club in the game against Maimi, as forward Benji Michel played his 100th match for the Club in all competitions. In reaching the century mark, the 24-year-old joined teammates Robin Jansson, Tesho Akindele and Ruan, along with former Lions Chris Mueller and Cristian Higuita in reaching that point. Michel is also the Club’s first Homegrown to cross into triple digit appearances.

A Wall On The Field
With his clean sheet against Inter Miami CF goalkeeper Pedro Gallese has now totaled seven in 2022, tying his season best set just last year. The Peruvian international has totaled 48 saves through 18 appearances so far this season, now with 18 clean sheets as a Lion.
