Orlando City SC signs 2026 MLS SuperDraft selection Nolan Miller

ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 4, 2026) — Orlando City SC has signed defender Nolan Miller to a first-team contract through the 2026 Major League Soccer season, with club options for 2027, 2027–28 and 2028–29, the Club announced today. The Lions selected Miller, a University of Michigan product, with the ninth overall pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft. 

“We’re excited to welcome Nolan to the First Team,” said Ricardo Moreira, Orlando City SC General Manager and Sporting Director. “He’s shown strong leadership and professionalism at a young age, and those qualities have stood out throughout our preseason preparations. Nolan has embraced the daily demands of the professional environment, and we’ve been encouraged by the potential he’s shown as he continues to grow within our group.” 

Miller, 21, was a mainstay on Michigan’s back line throughout his four-year collegiate career. He earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors twice (2023, 2025), United Soccer Coaches All-North Region recognition in 2024 and a spot on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2022. Miller started every match in both his junior and senior seasons, logging more than 1,600 minutes each year while contributing key goals and assists. 

Off the field, Miller twice earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Before joining Michigan, he developed within the Columbus Crew U-19 and MLS NEXT Pro environments, as well as with the Vardar U-17 MLS NEXT side.
