ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 7, 2022) – Orlando City SC will launch its eighth Major League Soccer (MLS) campaign on Sunday, Feb. 27, hosting CF Montréal in a 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Exploria Stadium. In celebration of the Lions upcoming season, the Club has announced its annual Kickoff to Soccer events.
The community events will feature both new and familiar fan favorites, with the first beginning on Feb. 5. Orlando City’s Kickoff to Soccer events will provide fans with opportunities to hear from Head Coach Oscar Pareja, see the unveiling of the new 2022-23 road jersey at City Art Jam, presented by Orlando Health, support local students and schools and run in the Club’s annual Purple Pride 5K.

Orlando Regional Spelling Bee
Saturday, Feb. 5 | Time: 9:00 a.m. | Location: Exploria Stadium
Orlando City SC is set to provide students and schools in Central Florida with the opportunity to participate in the 2022 Scripps National Spelling Bee at Exploria Stadium, through the Orlando Regional Spelling Bee presented by Rasmussen University.
Pints with Pareja
Thursday, Feb. 10 | Time: 6:15 p.m. Doors, 7:00 p.m. Start | Location: Exploria Stadium
City fans will have the opportunity to hear from Head Coach Oscar Pareja ahead of the start of the 2022 campaign by attending the Pints with Pareja event, presented by Heineken. Topics will include fan-favorite players, season expectations and the future of the Club before the upcoming campaign.
Purple Pride 5K
Saturday, Feb. 12 | Time: 8:00 a.m. ET | Location: Exploria Stadium
Fans can get their year off to a running start at the 7th annual Purple Pride 5K. Runners will tackle a brand new course before entering Exploria Stadium and sprinting down the sideline to earn their commemorative race medal and enjoy post-race photo ops and festivities. The Purple Pride 5K is presented by Orlando Health, Exploria Resorts, Publix, Aquafina and Heineken.
City Art Jam
Friday, Feb. 18 | Time: 5:30 p.m. Event Start | Location: Ace Cafe
Orlando City invites fans to join the Club in celebration of the 2022 jersey launch, presented by Orlando Health, with a speed painting competition hosted by No Borders Art Competition. Eight local artists will battle the clock to create unique depictions of the Club and community, in a celebration of all things purple.
