Orlando City B Drops First Result of the Year at Inter Miami CF II

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. (April 10, 2022) - Orlando City B (1-1-1, 5 points) dropped its first decision of the year, falling by a score of 2-0 to Inter Miami CF II (2-0-1, 7 points) at DRV PNK Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Orlando City Academy product Quembol Guadalupe made his OCB debut in the match, serving as the lone change in Head Coach Martín Perelman’s starting lineup from last week’s match against NYCFC 2, while Ian Silva made his first appearance of the year, coming off the bench for the Lions in the second half.

The Lions continue on the road this coming week, traveling to take on Columbus Crew 2 on Friday, April 15 at Historic Crew Stadium.

The home side got on the board with Bryce Duke threading a ball to the left edge of the area for Emerson Rodríguez, who was able to take a touch before sending his shot into the far post of the net.

55’ Shanyder Borgelin (Romeo Beckham) - MIA 2, OCB 0

Inter Miami doubled their advantage off a corner from Romeo Beckham from the left side, finding the head of Shanyder Borgelin for the finish.

  • Sunday served as the Lions’ first road trip of the year, having kicked off their inaugural MLS NEXT Pro campaign with a pair of home fixtures at Osceola County Stadium.
  • Head Coach Martín Perelman made one change to his starting lineup from a week ago, with Quembol Guadalupe making his professional debut out of the Orlando City Academy.  
  • Ian Silva made his OCB debut in the match, entering the game in the 75th minute for Diego Pareja.
