ORLANDO, Fla. (June 6, 2023) -- Orlando City SC and the Orlando Pride announced its game day activations to celebrate the Club’s “Pride in Our City” matches this weekend at Exploria Stadium. Both Clubs will celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, welcome local nonprofits and ally organizations, and remember the 49 victims of the 2016 Pulse Nightclub tragedy at their respective matches.

City is set to kick off the festivities on Saturday, June 10, when the team welcomes the Colorado Rapids for a match at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Pride will follow with a game against Portland Thorns FC on Sunday, June 11, a 7 p.m. ET kickoff.

Tickets for City’s match can be purchased here, while tickets to the Pride match are available here.

“This is a very special weekend for us with both Orlando City and Orlando Pride coming together for such an important and celebratory weekend for our fans. The LGBTQIA+ community is a fabric of the identity of the City of Orlando, our Club and our fans. We are very excited to support, recognize and honor members of our community that make Orlando such an inclusive city,” Club President of Business Operations Jarrod Dillon said. “It's a privilege for our Club to represent Orlando, to be able to celebrate proudly this coming weekend, and for our matches to be a safe space for anyone, no matter the month.”

Both Clubs will sport specialty merchandise with City donning “Love Unites” warm up tops along with all teams across the Major Soccer League. The match jerseys for both Clubs will also feature specialty rainbow numbers. Beginning June 6, the “Love Unites” top and rainbow numbers will also be available for retail and customization at The Den at Exploria Stadium, on each team’s respective online stores: OCMobileShop.com and ShopOrlandoPride.com.

The Club will also be releasing limited-edition merchandise for the weekend, including Pride-themed apparel, merchandise and CITYiD patches. A portion of all proceeds will go back to the Orlando City Foundation to be used in the organization’s efforts in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community across the Greater Orlando area.

Following the matches, both the City and Pride game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off, also v the Orlando City Foundation’s diversity, equity, and inclusion community outreach efforts.

Both matches will feature a national anthem performance by the Orlando Gay Chorus, with a special halftime performance by the group at both games. Before the matches, fans can visit the Mane Street Plaza presented by Publix to meet and learn more about the many LGBTQIA+ organizations in the Greater Orlando area, while also enjoying a variety of games and activities including a pregame concert to get energized for kick off.
