ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 15, 2024) — Orlando City Soccer Club today unveiled the Legacy Kit presented by Orlando Health, the Club’s 2024-25 community kit that celebrates and honors the organization’s history – from the early days as a member of USL Pro to, now, on the brink of its historic 10th season in Major League Soccer.

The Legacy Kit is now available for purchase on OCMobileShop.com, for pick up at The Den at INTER&CO Stadium during regular business hours, as well as on MLSStore.com.

"We are so proud to introduce a kit that we know our fans will love, one that pays tribute to everyone that has supported and led us to reach our 10th season in MLS. The Legacy Kit is designed to recognize just that – the path that has led us here today and the legacy of our early days as a professional soccer franchise in the City Beautiful,” said Orlando City Chief Marketing Officer Pedro Araujo. “This kit is a thank you to the players, supporters, staff, partners and community members for which Orlando City would not exist without. We hope our fans enjoy and appreciate the details found throughout this jersey, and we can’t wait to continue celebrating our 10th season in MLS with many more surprises throughout the year.”

The Legacy Kit pulls inspiration from the Lions’ first season and first championship in Orlando, in 2011 as a member of then USL Pro, when the team wore a red kit over the now famous Orlando City purple. Though the Lions’ purple and gold is what the team is known for, the Lions were originally donned with purple and red, with the secondary color changing upon entering MLS in 2015.

For the first time, the body of the kit will also take on a new look, with lavender as the primary color.

Additionally, the Club worked with both MLS and adidas to modernize the iconic Three Lions crest that was the team’s logo from 2011-14, emblazoned with metallic gold filigree and a bolder look on the trifecta of lions. The recognized adidas 3 stripes are featured in Glory Red on the shoulders, with purple and gold complements on the henley collar, sleeve piping and ribbing.

“Our fans have been asking for a tribute to our former crest for quite some time, so we are proud to be able to introduce this refreshed look while staying true to the Orlando City chapter that laid the foundation for our current era and successes as a member of Major League Soccer,” Araujo added.

Inside the neck, the words “Honor Thy History” can be found, a theme for this year’s 10-year celebration. The Legacy Kit, as well as events throughout the 2024 season, will pay tribute to the many players and moments that have built the Club to be what it is today. From its 2011 and 2013 USL Pro trophies, to the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title and the many world-class players that have featured on the roster, the 2024 Lions will “Honor Thy History” whenever the Legacy Kit is sported on the field.

At the bottom of the kit, the jock tag features a purple and gold X – the Roman Numeral for 10 – a nod to the Club’s 10th season in MLS and a play off the commemorative logo unveiled earlier in the year.

A partner since the beginning, Orlando Health returns as the jersey’s presenting partner, having supported the club since 2011, its first season in Orlando.

The Legacy Kit was unveiled on Thursday night at Cheyenne Saloon, located on historic Church Street in downtown Orlando, the same site where Orlando City was announced as the 21st franchise in Major League Soccer on November 19, 2013, by Commissioner Don Garber.

Orlando City will wear the Legacy Kit in front of its home supporters for the first time at INTER&CO Stadium on March 9, when the Club hosts its 10th Season Celebration match presented by Dex Imaging. Tickets for that game, and all Lions’ home games, are available here.
