Nocerino Could Be Set To Make His Debut Friday Against Chicago

Head Coach Adrian Heath has announced that new midfielder Antonio Nocerino will be available for Friday’s game against Chicago Fire. Nocerino comes from AC Milan and brings with him a wealth of experience from both European and international play. “He’s gonna be a great addition to us,” Coach Heath said after training on Wednesday. “He’s got a great personality.”

After getting some practice in with the team this week, Coach Heath likes what he sees from Nocerino. “I didn’t think we got him for his finishing, but obviously some great finishing this morning… The one thing that’s come through, he’s only been here a couple of days and he’s already a really integral part of the group.”

Nocerino could be a good replacement while star midfielder Kaká is out with a thigh strain. While Nocerino has traveled a long way in a short time, Coach Heath isn’t worried. “Good players can acclimate to anywhere,” he said after training.

Coach Heath says that Nocerino already fits in well with the chemistry of the team. As for the game on Friday, Coach Heath hasn’t ruled Nocerino out as a starter. “We’ll see,” Coach Heath said with a smile. “We’ll see how he goes.”
