In the offseason, Racing Louisville FC agreed to terms with both of their top-five picks in the 2022 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL Draft). The Club signed their second overall pick in midfielder Jaelin Howell out of Florida State University, as well as midfielder Savannah DeMelo out of the University of Southern California. Both rookies have started every game in the 2022 NWSL regular season for Racing Louisville, with DeMelo scoring the game winning goal over the San Diego Wave and notching an assist against Angel City FC.
