Orlando City players Kakà and Dom Dwyer are currently in Chicago preparing to face Real Madrid in the 2017 MLS All-Star Game. The top stars in MLS have a few days to train and get used to one another on the pitch before squaring off against the European Champions.

Yesterday, MLS reporters caught up with Kakà to get some of his thoughts ahead of the match:

“We touched the ball this morning and we can see and know each other better,” the Orlando City captain said. “Of course we know most of the players from the League and [it’s important] that we play together.”

It will take a stellar performance from the MLS All-Stars to take down the mighty Real Madrid. From top to bottom, the All-Stars roster has the talent to do so.

While the game is meant to bring positive light and entertainment to Major League Soccer fans, once the ball is kicked and the clock is running, teams want to win. After all, these are professionals doing what they do best.

“Even if it’s a friendly game, once the ball is on the field it becomes a competition. Nobody wants to lose,” Kaká explained to reporters. “It’s a game that everybody wants to win.”

MLS All-Star games never disappoint as far as providing an entertaining spectacle. 2017 should be no exception as Kakà comes up against his former team.
