It was Bear season this Sunday in Portland, as JĂșnior Urso scored a goal in another stellar all-around performance in Orlando Cityâs 1-1 draw against the Portland Timbers at Providence Park. Urso was voted Heineken Man of the Match for his efforts.
After a cagey first half, Orlando came out on fire to start the second. Alexandre Pato got on the ball outside the area, and while his first ball was blocked back to him, his second found the feet of Urso making one of his classic heat-seeking runs. The Bear made no mistake.
The goal was Ursoâs second of the season (and probably should have been his third), as the Brazilian has followed through on his stated intent to score more in 2022. Urso now has 10 goals in an Orlando City shirt in all competitions.
The Bear did more than just find the back of the net. As he typically does, Urso won the majority of his duels, taking 8 of 13 on the day, while tying JoĂŁo Moutinho for the team lead with eight ball recoveries and winning two tackles. On the distribution end, Urso finished second with 70 touches, completed 89% of his passes, and even successfully completed a dribble.
