Brek Shea Called up to U.S. Men's National Team for 2018 World Cup Qualifiers

ORLANDO, Fla. – Nov. 6, 2015 – Orlando City SC midfielder Brek Shea has been called up by U.S. Men's National Team (USMNT) Head Coach Jurgen Klinsmann for a pair of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.


Shea will join Klinsmann's 23-man roster for matches against St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Friday, Nov. 13, and Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday, Nov. 17. The fixture against St. Vincent and the Grenadines is set to kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET at Busch Stadium in St. Louis (ESPN2, WatchESPN, UniMas and Univision Deportes). The match against Trinidad and Tobago in Port of Spain will broadcast live on beIN Sport and NBC Universo with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET.


Shea has earned 33 caps at the international level, scoring four goals with the red, white and blue. The midfielder most recently scored for the U.S. in friendlies against Chile and Switzerland.


Shea has appeared in 18 matches with Orlando City SC in the team's inaugural MLS season, recording four assists while featuring at left-back and as a midfielder in Head Coach Adrian Heath's system.
