Breaking Down the XI | Pereyra Returns

XI NE

It’s the biggest match of the season for Orlando City as they face New England with their playoff hopes at stake. A win would put City just one point behind the 7th place Revs with 3 games remaining.

With everything on the line, Head Coach James O’Connor has put forth a very strong lineup.

In goal, Brian Rowe will get the start. The veteran keeper has made 91 saves this season.

The backline remains consistent with Kyle Smith, Robin Jansson, Lamine Sané, and Ruan.

In the defensive midfield, Cristian Higuita will pair with Carlos Ascues. These two should provide some great utility going forward.

In the hole, Mauricio Pereyra returns to the lineup. Pereyra last saw the pitch against Atlanta United on August 23rd before picking up an injury.

In the attack, the trio of Nani, Tesho Akindele, and Dom Dwyer will look to find the back of the net.

Starting XI presented by Orlando Health: Rowe, Smith, Jansson, Sané, Ruan, Higuita, Ascues, Pereyra, Nani, Dwyer, Akindele.

Bench: Johnson, Méndez, Kljestan, Miller, Patiño, Michel, Ranjitsingh
