It was a successful weekend on the pitch for the Orlando City Academy, as both the U15s and defending national champion U17s kept clean sheets in wins over Tampa-based Chargers SC.
The U15 game was a tight affair, with both teams playing well defensively. Colin Guske continued his strong campaign with the game’s only goal, helping the Young Lions to a 1-0 victory. The U15s are in second place in the Florida division in the Inter-League standings after two matches played and are one of only two teams in the division yet to drop points, along with Inter Miami.
The U17s, meanwhile, left nothing to the imagination, exploding for five goals in a 5-0 rout. Ethan Subachan notched a brace while Alex Dollard, Thomas Bowe, and Chase Vazquez also found the scoresheet.
