By The Numbers: Long Time

12 - Clear the way, Antonio Carlos

Antonio Carlos was named to the MLS Team of the Week for a heroic defensive performance in Orlando City’s 1-0 victory at D.C. United last weekend. The Brazilian had 12 clearances in the match, by far the most by any Orlando City player in a single game this season. Antonio Carlos also added three interceptions and two blocks as he continues to add to his early MLS Best XI case.

3 - El Pulp0

Orlando City goalkeeper Pedro Gallese recorded his third clean sheet in five matches on Sunday, equaling his total from the entire 2020 regular season. Bizarrely, Gallese and the Lions allowed exactly one goal in 13 of his 19 starts last year, meaning El Pulpo has only allowed multiple goals in a regular-season match three times in his Orlando City career.

651 - Long time no see

It had been 690 days between Orlando-D.C. matches before last weekend and come Saturday it will have been 651 days since Orlando City last faced off against Toronto FC. That game occurred at BMO Field in Toronto on August 10, 2019, when Benji Michel’s goal was enough to earn Orlando City an away point in a 1-1 draw.

6 - All about Altidore

Everyone has an opinion on Toronto FC and USMNT forward Jozy Altidore, but the man himself seems to enjoy Orlando. Altidore has six goals against the Lions in his career, tied for fifth all-time among all opposing players (his former Toronto teammate Sebastian Giovinco is third with eight). However, four of those six goals came all the way back in 2015 – Altidore hasn’t even faced Orlando City since 2018, but should be available for selection this weekend.
