Breaking Down the XI | Moutinho Returns in Cincy

XI Moutinho

City’s playoff chances are still alive as they take on FC Cincinnati on the road. A win for the Lions and a loss by New England (playing at the same time today) would keep Orlando City alive heading into the final week of the season. That being said, James O’Connor has put forth a strong lineup so his team can handle their part of the bargain.

In goal, Brian Rowe will start. He is one save away from 100 on the season which would make him the second keeper in Orlando history to do so.

In front of him, João Moutinho returns from injury to start at right back. Moutinho last played on August 3. He’ll join Robin Jansson, Lamine Sané, and Ruan.

In the defensive midfield, Will Johnson, Sebas Méndez, and Mauricio Pereyra will team up.

In the final third, Nani, Dom Dwyer, and Tesho Akindele will look to provide the offense. Dwyer has scored in two consecutive matches, he’ll look to make it a third tonight.

Kickoff is set for 5pm at Nippert Stadium. You can watch the match on Fox 35 Plus (Formerly My65) or on Youtube TV.

Starting XI Presented by Orlando Health: Rowe, Moutinho, Jansson, Sané, Ruan, Johnson, Méndez, Pereyra, Nani, Dwyer, Akindele.

Bench: Ascues, Michel, Miller, Mueller, Ranjitsingh, Rosell, Smith,
