Key Transactions

The Dash have recently signed forward Ariana Calderon and defender Riley Smith to national team replacement contracts as six players departed the team for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup this summer. Houston placed four players on the Canadian Women’s National Team who will play with Pride defender Shelina Zadorsky.

Recent Form

In their first seven games of the season, the Dash hold a 3-2-2 (11 points) record. The Dash have only picked up one point from a possible six in their last two games with a 2-1 loss to the Chicago Red Stars on May 19 and a 1-1 draw to Reign FC on June 2. The Dash currently sit in sixth, tied in points with the Red Stars.

Who’s Hot

Houston goalkeeper Jane Campbell sits at second in NWSL for saves with 22 over her seven appearances this season. Last time out against Orlando, Campbell’s performance secured her a clean sheet in the Dash’s 1-0 win. Campbell’s saves total places her just in front of Orlando’s Haley Kopmeyer, who has 20 saves in five appearances.

Head-to-Head

The Pride holds a 5-5-0 record historically against the Dash and have lost their last three matchups with Houston. In the teams’ last meeting, Orlando fell 1-0 to the Dash at BBVA Compass Stadium earlier this season.

Rasmussen College Fun Fact

The Pride’s five wins historically over the Dash is the most wins by Orlando against an opponent in the Club’s short history in the NWSL. During those wins, the Pride have outscored the Dash 10-3.
