Know Your Opponent | Memphis 901 FC

The magic of the cup is back! City's 2019 Open Cup run begins on Wednesday on the road in Memphis against USL Championship debutants Memphis 901 FC. This will be City's first match after an almost two-week break. Here is what you need to know about City's Open Cup opponents: 


Key Players

Orlando City's Cam Lindley is on loan with Memphis this season but he will be unavailable as he is on international duty with the U.S. U-23s. Memphis will look to Adam Najem to create in the midfield and for Elliot Collier and Duane Muckette to lead the attacking line. Both Collier and Muckette lead the USL Championship side in goals along with veteran defender Marc Burch.


Recent Form

Memphis is heading into Wednesday's Open Cup fourth-round showdown courtesy of a 3-1 win over New York Red Bulls U-23 and followed by a 4-0 win over Hartford Athletic. In USL Championship play, Memphis is 1-2-2 in their last five picking up five points. 


Head-to-Head 

City and Memphis have never met as this is Memphis' first year as a club.
