Orlando City B Falls Short in Texas

FRISCO, Texas (May 11, 2019) - Orlando City B (0-5-2, 2 points) fell short, 4-1, to North Texas SC (5-0-0, 15 points) on Saturday afternoon. 


Goalkeeper Juliano Chade recorded 10 saves in the match. Chade has seen three accolades thus far this season - Save of the Week for Week 3 and Team of the Week for Week 5. He is currently in the running for Save of the Month for the month of May.


The young Lions had several attempts in the first half but were unable to find the back of the net in the first 45. Forward William Bagrou opened the scoring for Orlando City B after finding an opening from a rebound on an attempt from midfielder Rafael Santos. Bagrou’s goal served as his first professional goal for OCB. Midfielder Tanner Tessmann equalized the scoring in the 69th minute for North Texas.


North Texas took the lead when forward Johan Gomez found an opening off an assist from forward Arturo Rodriguez. Rodriguez recorded North Texas’ third goal in the 86th minute from a penalty kick. Midfielder Ronaldo Damus registered his first professional goal for NTX in the 88th minute, giving North Texas a 4-1 victory.

Orlando City B returns home to host Toronto FC II on Friday, May 17. Kick off is set for 7:30 p.m. ET at Montverde Academy. Friday’s match will serve as Toronto’s second visit to Montverde Academy this season.
