Breaking Down the XI: Higuita Joins the Attack; Bendik Starts

With some suspensions and injuries to deal with, you will see a new look Orlando City tonight as they take on DC United in the nation’s capital.


In goal, Joe Bendik will get his first start since June 7th against LAFC. Bendik played 58 minutes against Columbus on June 21st when Earl Edwards Jr. left the match with an injury.


In the back, Mohamed El-Munir retreats to his spot at left back to join Amro Tarek, Shane O’Neill and Scott Sutter.


In the defensive midfield, Uri Rosell will get his first start in over a month alongside Will Johnson. Rosell’s last minutes came against Columbus on June 21st.


In the forward midfield, the biggest news of the night is Cristian Higuita moving forward into the attack. Higuita has had the most productive season of his career offensively, scoring four goals and consistently looking dangerous in the final third. He’ll be joined by Tony Rocha on the left and Chris Mueller on the right.


Up top, Dom Dwyer will wear the captain’s armband tonight.
