Breaking Down the XI: El-Munir On the Wing

Orlando City plays their second match in 4 days tonight as they take on the Galaxy in Los Angeles, but head coach James O’Connor has utilized just some minor squad rotation.

At goalkeeper, Earl Edwards Jr. will get his fourth consecutive start. The fourth year keeper has averaged just one goal allowed per start this season.

In the back, we see the first bit of rotation from O’Connor. Due to the red Card on Thursday to Shane O’Neill, Amro Tarek will pair with Chris Schuler tonight at center back. Scott Sutter will step in at right back. Sutter hasn’t seen action since June 30th when he started and played 68 minutes in Atlanta.

In the defensive midfield, Tony Rocha will replace Will Johnson and pair with Cristian Higuita.

In the forward midfield, Mohamed El-Munir will get the start on the left wing. El-Munir’s speed and dribbling ability has caught the eye of his new head coach and has afforded him some chances in a more forward position.

Dom Dwyer, per the usual, will start up top.

Starting XI presented by Orlando Health: Edwards Jr., PC, Tarek, Schuler, Sutter, Higuita, Rocha, El-Munir, Kljestan, Yotún, Dwyer.

Bench: Bendik, Johnson, Colmán, Lindley, Mueller, Toia, Pinho
