Sacha Kljestan Invites Fans to Free Showing of ‘Love, Simon’

Love Simon

Sacha Kljestan and his wife Jamie Lee Darley have bought out a theatre at Regal Winter Park Village for a showing of ‘Love Simon’ this Thursday, and you are invited.

‘Love Simon’ debuted on March 16th. It follows 17-year old Simon Spier, who hasn’t told his family or friends that he’s gay and doesn’t know the identity of the anonymous classmate that he has fallen for online.

“I was inspired by a few other people who did it,” said Kljestan. “I saw Neil Patrick Harris do it and Kristen Bell and obviously Robbie Rodgers is a very good friend of mine and his husband directed the movie. On opening weekend my wife and I went to see it and we really loved the movie and the message it presented.”

Kljestan and his wife paired up with local LGBT group The Zebra Coalition, who will receive half of the tickets for their youth members.

“I Just want them to know that my wife and I support them and support the cause. I thought it was a great movie and a great message and I want as many people to see it as possible,” said Kljestan.

Tickets will be available to the public at the Theater Box Office on a first-come first-serve basis this Thursday. You can pick up two tickets per person ahead of the showing.

"First and foremost for me, equality is number one,” said Kljestan. “Tolerance and acceptance as well. Everybody's equal. We are all the same. We’re all just like each other. We’re human beings first and foremost. “

“Love is love.”
