The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has announced the list of allocated players for the 2018 season, with U.S. internationals Alex Morgan and Ashlyn Harris as well as Canadian defender Shelina Zadorsky tabbed as Orlando’s Federation Players for the upcoming season.

Morgan and Harris both return to the Pride as U.S. Women’s National Team Federation Players for the third consecutive season, while Zadorsky will be a newly subsidized player for the Pride.

Despite only appearing in 13 matches in 2017, Morgan posted her best NWSL season to date with nine goals and four assists, including four game-winning goals. The 2017 CONCACAF Female Player of the Year, Morgan was named to the NWSL Second XI and was named NWSL Player of the Month in August. In 2016, the 28-year-old forward scored four goals and added one assist.

In 2017, Harris lead the Pride to its first playoff appearance, ending the regular season with an undefeated 5-0-2 record despite missing 11 matches due to injury. Harris totaled 36 saves over 13 appearances, earning NWSL Save of the Week six times. The 2016 NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year, Harris served as captain for the Pride last season.

Zadorsky, who was acquired by the Pride on Jan. 21, will be subsidized by the Canada Soccer Association for the third straight season. The 25-year-old defender appeared in 34 matches over her past two seasons, including an appearance in the 2016 NWSL Championship match with the Washington Spirit.

In addition, the Pride have retained the rights to defender Ali Krieger and forward Sydney Leroux, who will not be allocated for the 2018 NWSL season. The Club is currently undergoing contract negotiations with both players.

The NWSL will kick off its sixth season the weekend of March 24-25. Fans will once again be able to watch the NWSL Game of the Week on Lifetime on Saturdays throughout the regular season as well as live streams of matches on the go90 app and website. International fans will also be able to continue to watch games on the NWSL app and NWSLsoccer.com.
