ORLANDO, Fla. (October 12, 2017) - Orlando City SC announces date for the ‘Fuerza Puerto Rico’ Friendly, which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m. ET at Orlando City Stadium. All net proceeds from the match will go to the United for Puerto Rico initiative to raise funds and aid recovery efforts for the island following the hurricane devastation.

Tickets are available via ticketmaster.com or by calling (855) ORL-CITY. No decision has been made about potential online streams for this friendly, but fans are encouraged to attend and support the cause.

“We’ve seen a great response from our partners looking to get involved in this initiative and we want to thank them for always supporting our organization,” Orlando City SC CEO Alex Leitão said. “We will continue updating our fans to share the great things our partners are working on to support Puerto Rico and our goals to raise funds for the island.”

"Our players and staff are very excited to be part of this historic match. We understand that not only could it raise money to help people that need it the most, but using soccer, we can unite all Puerto Ricans on and off the island," Puerto Rican Soccer Federation President Eric Labrador said.

The friendly marks Orlando City’s last game of 2017, as well as the last game for team captain Kaká, who announced this week he will not return to the team as a player for the 2018 season. The Club’s first Designated Player will play his final Major League Soccer home match on Saturday, Oct. 15., against Columbus Crew SC.

“This is a great opportunity for us to come together one last time as a team and play a game that means something special to so many people in this community,” Kaká said. “I’m proud to represent Orlando. I will wear my jersey one more time in this stadium, and for this city I have been lucky to call home for three years, to bring awareness to the situation happening in Puerto Rico.”
