FC Cincinnati Reveals Stadium Design

FC Cincinnati has released the first renderings for their new stadium, which they hope will boost their chances of MLS expansion. The stadium draws on Allianz Arena, home to German powerhouse Bayern Munich. The stadium would have 25,000 seats, with a potential capacity of 30,000 thanks to berm seating. Stadiums are an important part of MLS expansion, and FC Cincinnati is hoping that these plans will help increase their chances. Two of the four expansion sides are expected to be announced by the end of the year.

Seattle Sounders Face Portland Timbers in U.S Open Cup

The Seattle Sounders will host the Portland Timbers in the 4th round of the U.S Open Cup. While the match is likely to be without some of the star players from both sides, this rivalry is always heated regardless of the setting. Amongst the players likely to see time in the match is Jeremy Ebobisse, who was the #4 pick in the MLS SuperDraft and is a striker for the U.S U-20 team that just returned from South Korea.

An Amateur Side Looking To Make A Name For Themselves Against D.C United

Christos FC may not have been the expected opponent for D.C United in the 4th round of the U.S Open Cup, but the game is sure to be a meaningful one for the Baltimore club. Christos FC is entirely an amateur side, who do not get paid and simply play for the love of the game. They come in as the underdogs, but that didn’t stop them from taking down USL’s Richmond Kickers. Amateur sides have been known to do well in the U.S Open Cup-- maybe Christos FC will add to that history.
