U-20 World Cup: U.S Makes It To Round of 16

After a 1-1 draw against Saudi Arabia, the United States won their group in the U-20 World Cup and will go on to the Round of 16. The United States will face New Zealand on Thursday, June 1st at 7:00am. On Tuesday morning, the first Round of 16 matches were played. Portugal defeated host nation South Korea 3-1 and Venezuela beat Japan 1-0. Both teams will advance to the Quarterfinals. 


Toronto FC Looking To Hold Back Ottawa Fury In Canadian Championship

Toronto FC will be looking to rebound from their 2-1 loss in Ottawa last week. The match against the USL side will be hosted at BMO Field on Wednesday night. Even a 1-0 victory would do the trick for Toronto FC, but they will need to hold back an Ottawa offense that is eager to prove themselves. The Montreal Impact find themselves in a similar situation; they will be looking to defeat the Vancouver Whitecaps at home on Tuesday night. The winner of these two series will face off in the Canadian Championship. The winner receives a CONCACAF Champions League slot. 


Arena Names 27-Player Roster For Upcoming World Cup Qualifiers

U.S Men’s National Team Head Coach Bruce Arena has named the 27-player roster for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Trinidad and Tobago and Mexico. The U.S will host Trinidad and Tobago on June 8th at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Colorado before traveling to Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. Amongst the 27 players, 15 play in MLS.
