Orlando City Rank First in Multiple MLS Power Rankings

Orlando City (6-1-0) keeps winning and moving up the MLS power rankings. The Lions boast a four-game winning streak, have a league-high six wins and rank No. 1 in the Eastern Conference standings. Here’s a look at  where Orlando City ranks in the power rankings around the league.

Major League Soccer – 2nd


Orlando City ranks second behind Dallas FC (4-0-3), whose last two matches have ended with a draw. Dallas FC continues to hold on to the No.1 spot, “Despite a draw with Portland, Dallas’ sheen isn’t rubbing off.”


Toronto FC, who the Lions face tomorrow night, are fifth on the list. “They're inching closer to becoming the team we thought they'd be even if they're not quite there yet.”

ESPN FC – 1st


City reached atop the ESPN FC power rankings. The Lions climbed one spot from the previous week and Dallas FC failed one spot to No. 2. “On Saturday against the Colorado Rapids, Orlando City showed they can handle the pressure by sealing a 2-0 victory.”


Toronto FC remains at No. 6 from the previous week’s rankings. “TFC stand pat after taking care of business at home.”

Soccer America – 1st


Another No. 1 ranking for the Lions, Orlando City sits in first place in the Soccer America power rankings, one spot higher than the previous week. “OCSC didn’t need heroics from keeper Joe Bendik as it outshot the feeble Rapids, 14-3.”


Toronto FC ranks at No. 5. Soccer America highlighted the play of forward Jozy Altidore and midfielder Raheem Edwards.
