In a Facebook Live Q&A, Orlando City newcomer Will Johnson was asked who he was most excited to play alongside. Johnson comes to Orlando City from Toronto FC, one of the top attacking teamâs in the league. For Johnson, his excitement lies in playing with Orlando Cityâs attacking squad and developing a strong relationship with his fellow midfielders.
âI think thereâs great potential, I see great potential in the attacking guys. Brek Shea, Kevin Molino⌠I think Cyle [Larin] is putting in a lot of work right now that people will soon see,â Johnson said. âHeâs gonna really turn himself into a top striker in this league.â
Johnson admitted heâs a bit biased towards Larin, as they play alongside each other on the Canadian Menâs National Team. But Johnson is really looking forward to playing with fellow midfielder Antonio Nocerino.
âThe other one Iâve always admired from afar is Nocerino,â Johnson said. âI think heâs got a competitive bite and spirit to his game that I see in myself at times and appreciate. And so⌠in terms of playing alongside somebody, heâs somebody who I could see us developing a good relationship.â

Of course, Johnson didnât forget to mention KakĂĄ.
âThe name speaks for itself,â Johnson said. âIâm very excited to play with someone of his stature⌠Iâm very excited about the opportunity to play with such a world-class superstar.â
Johnson has a history that speaks for itself. Prior to spending last season with Toronto FC, Johnson spent three years with the Portland Timbers and four years with Real Salt Lake. Johnson brings plenty of MLS experience to this yearâs Orlando City squad, and will join his teammates when training resumes closer to the start of the season.
