ORLANDO, Fla. (December 12, 2016) - Orlando City YS U14 ECNL team performed well at the Disney Showcase finishing Runners-Up at the tournament in the top bracket of competition. They were undefeated through group play with 2 wins and a tie before advancing on to play Braddock Road (VA) in the semifinals.
A terrific performance saw them overcome Braddock Road before playing in the final against CSA's U14 ECNL team. In other team news, Orlando City's U13 Pre-ECNL & U13 Purple team finished runners up in their respective groups qualifying for the semifinals. "It was great to see some of our teams advance to the finals in such a tough competition against top teams from across the country. Our Junior teams have a lot of potential and the future looks bright for the club. We will continue to work hard on the training fields to develop promising young talent to compete nationally," said Sam Mitchell, Junior Girls Coordinator and ECNL Staff Coach.
