ORLANDO, Fla. (July 15, 2016) – At the midpoint of the 2016 Major League Soccer Season (MLS), Orlando City SC captain Kaká and midfielder Brek Shea have been ranked in the league’s top 20 best-selling jerseys so far this season. Both players were listed among the top 10 for MLS jerseys sold in the 2015 campaign.
Kaká, who this week was voted to the 2016 MLS All-Star Fan XI, was listed sixth, surpassing fellow marquee players such as 2015 MLS Most Valuable Player Sebastian Giovinco, Montreal Impact’s Didier Drogba and LA Galaxy’s Giovani dos Santos and Robbie Keane.
Shea, one of six players in the top 20 who have represented the U.S. Men’s National Team since last summer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup, was ranked 19th, over the 2015 MLS leading goal scorer Kei Kamara.
Orlando City is one of six MLS teams to have multiple players listed among the top 20 for most jerseys sold in 2016.
